Do you need to vaccinate your pet ahead of boarding? Turn to us for the vaccinations your dog or cat needs to remain healthy and avoid spreading diseases.
During pet boarding, you can expect our staff to dutifully care for your pet. We feed dogs and cats twice a day with Science Diet® dry food. However, you may bring your own food. Staff members walk dogs twice daily, ensuring they get proper exercise. As for cats, they board in a separate area with a window view. Our staff spends time with the cats, playing with them and tending to their needs.
We calculate boarding charges for all pets based on weight and the number of nights they stay. Should you have questions about our San Antonio pet boarding services and what to expect, do not hesitate to contact us.

The Benefits of Boarding Your Dog or Cat
It can be tough to leave your pet for an extended period. However, choosing to board your dog or cat at Alamo Dog & Cat Hospital is a decision that can actually benefit them.
Here is how:
- Professional care: have trained staff on hand who look after and care for pets. They are experienced in handling different breeds and temperaments. With us, you can be sure your pet will receive proper attention, feeding, and exercise.
- Socialization: Boarding your pet will allow them to meet and interact with other animals. In many cases, this can relieve your pet’s stress and benefit them long after their stay.
- Routine and stability: We strive to maintain an ideal routine for your pet’s well-being. By doing so, we can help your pet feel comfortable and secure.
- Medical care: In an emergency, our facility is equipped to provide necessary medications and treatments and monitor your pet’s health.
- Avoiding disruptions at home: With boarding, your pet will not be alone for extended periods. This can eliminate accidents they might have or damage they could cause between visits from a dog or cat sitter.
